Corten steel box fountain

Henan Troyiker got an inquiry of “we are interested in approx 60 sets of corten steel trough or box fountain in Los Angeles” on may 5,2023. And we get the payment on May 20,2023.

Let’s take a look at our customer's detailed needs and our solutions:

Customers: “we are seeking the Corten steel box that is waterproof — 60” x 12” x 48”h

…Or approximately those dimensions. We plan to put a fountain pump inside. We would need one hole at the bottom for an electrical cord that we can seal later”

Here we considered the length in 60”=1524mm, it is relatively long, the thickness of the board should not be too thin(The board surface will be uneven if it is too thin). And It also cannot be too thick, in which case shipping costs will be high. Finally we came up with a solution that:

Widen the fold edge at the top edge to ensure the corten steel board surface is flat and add a support rod in the middle to increase strength and ensure it does not affect the appearance, so we designed the support poles to be below the water surface.

About the hole at the bottom: the customer can’t ensure the installation location, so we recommend drilling on site.

Another question of rust color: The customer want to see natural changes in rust color, so we recommend sand blasting only, which ensure uniform rust color.
